Lead Enrichment Agent

A bare name-and-email lead gets filled in with company, size, and role before it ever reaches a rep.

What it watches

New leads created in your CRM with incomplete data

What it does

Fills in firmographic and contact details, then hands the enriched lead back to routing

When it asks a human first

A lead with no match found in any enrichment source is flagged for a human to qualify manually instead of being routed with blank fields. When two sources disagree — one lists the company at 50 employees, another at 500 — the field is flagged as conflicting rather than silently picking one, so a rep decides which number to trust.

How it works

  1. 1
    Catches the lead on creation

Fires the moment a new lead lands in your CRM, before it reaches a rep’s queue. It watches the CRM’s creation event directly, so a batch of leads imported from a spreadsheet triggers enrichment exactly the same way as one captured live through a web form.

  2. 2
    Looks up the company

Matches the lead’s email domain or company name against firmographic data sources for size, industry, and location. A free personal domain — Gmail, Yahoo — is recognised as such and sent straight to the no-match flag, rather than wasting a lookup trying to match it to a company record.

  3. 3
    Fills the role

Adds job title and seniority where available, so routing rules (deal size, territory) have real data to work from. It also normalises wildly different title spellings — "Head of Growth," "Growth Lead," "VP Growth" — into the same seniority band, so a routing rule does not miss a match over wording alone.

  4. 4
    Scores its confidence

Every enriched field carries a confidence score — a rep can see at a glance what to trust and what to verify. A field confirmed by two agreeing sources scores higher than one pulled from a single source, so the score reflects corroboration, not just the presence of data.

  5. 5
    Flags the unmatched

A lead with no firmographic match at all is flagged rather than left silently blank, so a human can qualify it manually. It also re-attempts the lookup a few days later before giving up entirely, since a brand-new company’s domain sometimes takes time to appear in firmographic databases.

What triggers it

  • · A new lead is created in your CRM with missing fields
  • · A lead has only a name and email at capture
  • · An enrichment source returns no match
  • · A lead’s company data changes after enrichment

What you get

  • · A lead record filled with company size, industry, and role
  • · A confidence score attached to each enriched field
  • · A no-match flag for leads enrichment could not resolve
  • · A weekly enrichment-coverage report

Not the right fit if

Not for referral-only businesses where every lead already arrives pre-qualified and introduced by a known contact. It’s also not built for consumer-facing (B2C) sign-ups — the firmographic sources it queries return company size, industry, and role, which don’t exist for an individual buying for themselves.

The math

At ~150 leads/mo × 5 min, that is roughly 12.5 h/mo — an estimate, not a guarantee.

Frequently asked

Public firmographic databases and company registries — never scraped from private social profiles or paywalled data.

Reliable for most established companies; early-stage or very small companies sometimes return a no-match, which is flagged rather than guessed.

No — enrichment runs in the same second the lead is created, so routing rules see enriched data immediately, not after a delay.

Yes — this one enriches before routing; Lead Follow-Up handles the outreach and sequencing once the lead is routed.

If the same contact reappears under a new company domain, it’s treated as a fresh enrichment rather than reusing the stale record — company size and industry get looked up again against the new employer, not carried over from the old one.
