What it watches

Prices and stock status on a list of competitor URLs you provide

What it does

Checks competitor pricing/stock on a schedule and sends a weekly digest of what changed

When it asks a human first

It never changes your own prices — it only reports. If a competitor's price undercuts yours by more than a threshold you set, that single item is flagged for immediate review instead of waiting for the weekly digest. That flag stays open until you dismiss it or the gap closes on its own, so an undercut doesn't quietly vanish from view after appearing once in a notification.

How it works

  1. 1
    Checks public pages

Reads the public product pages you list at setup — no private or authenticated competitor data touched. Each competitor URL is matched to one of your own products at setup, so a report always says which of your SKUs a price applies to, not just a raw list of external links.

  2. 2
    Runs on schedule

Daily by default, configurable to hourly for fast-moving categories. If a competitor redesigns their page and the price can no longer be read reliably, that product is flagged as unreadable rather than silently reporting a stale or wrong number.

  3. 3
    Flags the threshold breaks

A competitor undercutting you past your set threshold is flagged immediately, not held for the weekly digest. One that keeps undercutting the same product week after week gets called out as a pattern, not re-flagged as if it were new each time.

  4. 4
    Tracks the trend

Builds a price-history view per product so a slow creep is visible, not just a single snapshot — a seasonal pattern, like a competitor who drops price every Friday, becomes visible instead of looking like an unrelated one-off each time.

  5. 5
    Never changes your price

It only reports — auto price-matching is a separate opt-in handled through the Inventory Sync agent, and only ever within a ceiling you set there yourself. This agent's role stops at telling you what changed.

What triggers it

  • · Daily (or hourly) scheduled check of listed competitor URLs
  • · A competitor price drops below yours by more than your threshold
  • · A competitor's stock status changes
  • · A new product appears on a tracked competitor page

What you get

  • · A weekly digest of competitor price/stock changes
  • · An immediate alert for a threshold-breaking undercut
  • · A per-product price-history chart
  • · A flagged new competitor product for your review

Not the right fit if

Not for businesses that don't compete on price — a bespoke or service-based offer has no comparable competitor SKU to watch. It's also not useful where competitors don't publish pricing at all — quote-only or enterprise B2B rivals with a 'contact sales' page instead of a listed price — since the agent reads public pages, not private quotes it was never sent.

The math

At ~100 competitor SKU trackeds/mo × 3 min, that is roughly 5 h/mo — an estimate, not a guarantee.
